Black Korean
Do Korean women like black men?
I am curious. I fancy Chinese and Taiwanese women and I know some of them like black men. I wanted to know do Korean women lke black men?
I have a friend who's dad is black and mom is Korean. His dad was an American soldier stationed in Korea, and his mom wanted a way into the US, basically... he said that more or less, his mom married his dad, had him, had his brother, moved to the US, wiated till she was naturalized, and then divorced his dad and had nothing to do with him or his brother. I didn't realize he was part Korean for about six months because he was so pissed off about it, he more or less just passed himself for black. He said that there was a support group where we lived in LA for kids who'd had the same thing happen...
Black people are HEAVILY stigmatized in pretty much every Asian culture. My roommate is Taiwanese-American and she said that if she was seeing a black guy, her mom would be outraged, and probably disown her. My friend Angela is Chinese-American and her boyfriend is Afro-Caribbean, and her parents were/are infuriated to the point that they cut off her funding for school.
I was an army brat and yeah, there were black/Korean couples, and yes, some of them were serious, committed relationships, but for the most part, they were sham marriages for citizenship. In LA (where I lived for 5 years), the black and Korean communities *hate* eachother passionately, mainly because of murders and crimes committed against Korean shopowners in the 70's and 80's, and then the riots in 1992.
That's not to say you shouldn't try; there are plenty of Asian women out there who are into black guys, it's just that there's no uniform "these ones are okay with it" and "these ones aren't" formula. In my experience though, it seems like FIlipinas and Vietnamese girls are probably the most apt to date black men.
