There are very few openings or needed positions for Ukrainian-English interpreters. The Special Warfare School at FT Bragg uses foreigners to teach a compressed language course to SF, Civil Affairs, and PSYOP students. I don't know if they are Gov't employees or more likely, contractors employed under a Gov't contract. Russian was offered, but Ukrainian wasn't.
She would have a better chance contacting the FBI and US Customs Service to offer her services as needed. Customs may use her when dealing with Ukrainian merchant shippers.
