Key Latitude
How do I get rid of the annoying tone on my computer after every key stroke?
I have a Dell Latitude D400 running Windows XP Pro. I already went to the Sound and Audio Devices in the control panel and unchecked everything I could that said it would make noise but this stupid beeping after every key stroke just WILL NOT GO AWAY!!! It's driving me nuts!!!
I don't know of any built-in keystroke sound, but there are some third-party programs that allow you to assign sounds, usually to imitate the clicks of old typewriters. You might try Googling for some names, then cross-checking them with your Add or Remove Program list to see if there's one there.
