Lcd Inverter
If I replace the LCD inverter in my Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop, will it fix the screen?
I have a old Dell Inspiron laptop and the screen shows nothing but several vertical and horizontal lines. The actual screen has no physical damage, but I'm pretty sure it's just a cable on the inverter thats messed up.
What does it show on a external monitor? If the same then it is GPU causing problem otherwise you may be right about the lcd cable itself not the inverter though. inverter controls brightness that's it not the data coming from the GPU. Depends how the configuration is on the wiring though usually the lcd cable splits from single connection that goes to the motherboard to two output on the other end to connect to inverter and lcd panel itself.
