Red Optical
My optical mouse just stops working on me but the red light stays on, whats wrong?
I got this optical mouse from my brother. My cursor on the screen will just stop suddenly and come back working in about 2-3 seconds. It's getting really annoying cause its happening more often now, about once every 1-2 min. Also, my mouse will stop working permanently with the laser still on so I have to replug it and it starts working again. I have it set on a black desk, could that be the reason? any help would be great.
Laser mouse pads are the way to go, $1 from local Reject Shop =P
Maybe your mouse is dying? have you tried another mouse on the same table and checked if that one freezes as well?
Change USB Port, just swap it to another vacant port on the back of your computer.
Any software installed recently? Might be software clash deep inside somewhere lol
