My laptop's keyboard has decided to use it's sub-function keys on the keypad. How do it get my keyboard back?
If I hold my fn key at the same time as my 'J' key, I will be able to type a 'J'. However, if I don't hold down the fn key, and type a 'J', I get a 1 instead. What is the combination to bring my keyboard back to its default setting?
your notebook. like most others will have functions keys. by pressing either 'Fn'+'F1' to 'F8' it will perform and action. some of them including muting speakers, turning off screen back light, put the computer to sleep, turn of the touchpad, and Num Lock and Scroll Lock. try pressing 'Fn' + 'NumLk'. this should stop the numbers from appearing when you use the keyboard.
hope this helps
