does anyone know how to turn the magnifier button off on the Microsoft wireless intellimouse?

If you open the Mouse control panel, the Buttons tab should have a list of buttons you can customize for your mouse. You should be able to select from several different options to change the functionality of the zoom button, or even choose "None" to disable it entirely.
