how to copy the genuine windows from recovery media?
Hello :
i got a laptop and i have a win 7 home premium in the recovery cd , so when ever i need to install that windows i can do that , but it only works with my laptop [ Toshiba ] , i tried to run the recovery cd on my desktop computer but i got an error , so i know that the windows is in that cd , so is there any way i can extract it to install it at any computer ? thanks for reading and your support
Doubful, it is usually image based which means they just have a snapshot of what your computer should be. Most often its not possible to use those disks on other models because they check themselves. One thing you could do is restore the image to your laptop (or just use an image of the laptop as is), and then use an imaging software like ghost to image it to another hard drive. You'll end up needing a new product key though, or an illegal way to activate it
