Touchpad Latitude
Mouse/touchpad not working!?
Hi all, i have a dell latitude d600, as you can guess the mouse it not working. I tried to re-install the drivers no luck, so then i noticed that the the mousekeys were not sure sure how but disabled them. Anyway then i looked into the mouse settings and it says that the mouse is plugged in via ps/2 ???Strange, anyway yesterday i was messing around with the settings not sure what and the mouse comes alive, i restart it and it works, but in the evening when i switched it on it didn't work anymore. the touchpad is not disabled and now i am stuck. Please help,

I just was using the mousekeys with the numlock on and the mouse started working again, could it be something to do with that, or could it be that once the laptop is on a while the mouse just starts up???
Ok now i just think that does work but only if the leave the laptop on after on for 10 minutes.
Hi if you go into system propertiesThats green diamond on the taskbar,if you are using windows xp,click hardware,click device manager,click mice and pointing devices,click ps2 pointing device,make sure it is running,if not troubleshooter,to reset /fix,if you have to reset up you could go to control panel ,click printer and other devices,click mouse,and set up from there. hope this helps
