VGA cable with 2 heads confuses me. I would use another cable.

So okay, I assume the laptop has VGA then (not DVI or HDMI). That's fine. You basically have 4 options with VGA. You can go VGA to VGA if the TV has a VGA input (Some do, not all though). You can get a VGA to DVI adaptor and a DVI to HDMI cable and then go HDMI into the TV. You can get a VGA to Component cable and go component into the TV (it carries HD resolutions just fine). All of these cables/adpators are available at electronics stores or online at places like Amazon.com. Also note, all of these solutions will only carry video. If you need to carry audio out from your laptop then you want to also get a stere mini to RCA cable (again electronics stores or Amazon). You plug the stereo mini end into your laptop, either a dedicated audio out or the headphone jack.

But I did say for options so, lastly, you can invest in a VGA to HDMI convertor box. They aren't exactly common or cheap, but they do exist. You take the VGA into it for video and again you get a stereo mini to RCA cable to carry the audio. There's more than one out there, but here's at least one example to give you an idea of what to search for, http://www.av-cables.net/switch_boxes/vga-hdmi.html
